to be or not to be

This past weekend, I went to Seoul for a teaching workshop. It was pretty sweet, because the school payed for my KTX ticket (around $30 both ways). And the workshop was only 3 hours long on Saturday afternoon. Gave us some time to tool around a little bit.

The major accomplishments:
- mexican food was eaten. food that actually tasted like mexican food, not just something called "mexican food".
- Rodin exhibit: check.
- at real, delicious brunch on sunday morning

One of the biggest open air markets in South Korea. It was HUGE, like bigger than . . . hmm i don't know. i can't think of anything that big.

ADJUMAAAAAAAA. In the middle of almost all the open air markets, you'll find food stalls like this, with benches around it sushi-style. These adjumas are making kimchi pancake. It's hard to describe. It's kind of like a pancake, but it's savory, not sweet. And it's not fluffy, it's closer to a hashbrown. Like I said - hard to describe.

but they're delicious! That's some kind of sauce (looks like soy sauce but it's not, maybe oyster sauce?) that they give you with onions in it.

Rodin Retrospective in Seoul

Before you start complaining that there are no pictures with me and my friends, keep in mind that I was doing something highly illegal taking these pictures. There were guards in every part of the rooms with the art. So here it is, feast your eyes on: The Thinker

In another exhibit (Rodin did not paint this), I found a little bit of home from a Korean lady painter.

In other news, report cards are this week. The worst week of every month. So not only am I busy writing report cards, I'm also busy prepping for next month.

Three long weeks until I leave Daejeon again . . . unless something else pops up!
